IPM 2018, What's cooking at Dümmen Orange?

Dümmen Orange keeps growing and is presenting its whole assortment on one IPM booth in Hall 2. The international team is looking forward to take you to the world of the Dümmen Orange Pot Plants, Annuals, Perennials, Cut Flowers, Tropical Plants and Bulbs and all successful assortment varieties, interesting novelties as well as Retail Solutions.

The international team is looking forward to take you to the world of the Dümmen Orange Pot Plants, Annuals, Perennials, Cut Flowers, Tropical Plants and Bulbs and is also showing all successful assortment varieties and interesting novelties as well as several Retail Solutions. New at the IPM is the Trend Hall where Dümmen Orange will position concepts and power brands as retail highlights. However, the masterpiece of the Dümmen Orange pavilion must be our Innovation Kitchen!

Green Innovation Kitchen
In the Innovation Kitchen visitors can see and experience our innovative and sustainable way of working. A lot is going on, we will show new breeding, products and concepts. And we will also officially present our new sustainable protocols Greencare and GreenGuard. Protocols that will help us to build trust and future for both growers and consumers.

POT PLANTS

POINSETTIAS
J’Adore Pink is setting up a new Euphorbia Hybrid line. Her outstanding self-branching capacities make her suitable for mini to standard pot size production. She has a strong, V-shaped structure and distinctive rounded habit on top. Her showy and large cyathia, the unique bract form and the beautiful colour makes her very special and a real eye catcher at the point of sale. She is excellent for early sales and easy to grow.

CHRYSANTHEMUM
The Cosmo series is characterised by their unique large decorative flowers. The mutant series is available in 5 different colours, has a great flower presentation and a response time of around 8 weeks. The 2 new colours, Bordeaux and Fresh Lime are a nice colour edition.

ANNUALS

BEGONIA HYBRYD
I´CONIA Begonias  are  an enrichment for every garden. The abundance of bright blooms are as exciting as its carefree character. With a true long-lasting bloom from May to October, they are suitable for single or combined planting in any surrounding. Even in production the Begonia hybrid stands out, with good branching and early blooming. With production starting after week 12, marketing at week 19-20 is achievable. Simply a Garden Begonia by all means!  With an exceptional performance in the chain from production  to sales and through to the customer. Garden Begonias by Dümmen Orange acquired a key differentiator status.

PETUNIAS
The new Petunia variety Miss Marvelous is a valuable addition to the already outstanding Sweetunia series from Dümmen Orange. Its bi-coloured flower in a deep, dark claret, lit up by a fresh metallic-white edge, adds a completely new and attractive contrasting colour scheme to the assortment. With early flowering and compact growth, it is the perfect complement to the other varieties in the series, such as Johnny Flame and Suzie Storm. Miss Marvelous is perfect for planting in containers, hanging baskets and borders where its upright growth, mounded habit and rich blooms are real eye-catchers.

PERENNIALS

PHLOX PANICULATA
Phlox Early® is the successful compact and early flowering Phlox paniculata Series of Dümmen Orange. The small flowers in many different, vibrant colours providing fresh colour in the garden for early June. The new, lower-growing Phlox Early varieties are perfect for planting in sunny spots of flower beds as well as containers.

CUT FLOWERS

ROSES
Grass heart roses are unique wild roses for amazing arrangements. Roses have never looked this elegant and adventurous.  Exceptional untamed beauty for full bloom bouquets.

SUSTAINABILITY

GREENGUARD
GreenGuard is the new protocol in the industry to meet growers and consumer demand. The result is sustainable grown products by customers, resulting from the Dümmen Orange GreenGuard production at our mother stock locations. By minimizing chemical residues, Dümmen Orange enables customers to introducing beneficials immediately to their crop. Our customers classified good vital cuttings, no negatives. GreenGuard fits both Integrated Pest Management and customers plant resilience systems. From 2018 we produce all our Pot Chrysanthemums according to the GreenGuard protocol. More products will follow soon.

GREENCARE
Greencare is the phytosanitary policy of Dümmen Orange to deliver healthy and clean starting material to growers worldwide. It guides us to prevent, control and minimize phytosanitary risks from breeding to production. Greencare describes mandatory preventive hygiene measures for people and locations to keep plants clean. Greencare sets guidelines on how to control a clean stock of plants by diagnostic tests, scouting on pests and diseases, audits and inspections. If a symptom is detected Greencare prevents shipping of infected material and guides how to clean up the stock. Greencare connects a worldwide team to improve products and processes with the goal to learn from experience and do things better.
