2 Roooz Awards for Veronica®
Rose Veronica® proves to be a public's favourite and has been awarded the top prize by a professional jury at the 2018 ROOOZ awards.
Veronica® is pink, it's gorgeous, it's a mutual success by Dümmen Orange® and Jan Spek Rozen and it has won two awards at ROOOZ 2018. This is the yearly novelty rose meet-up for hybridizers, growers, buyers, traders, florists and consumers. The ROOOZ winners have been chosen by both a professional jury and a public vote in the Historical Garden in Aalsmeer out of 65 contenders.
And the winner is…
Veronica® was nominated in categories Medium Cup Traders and Medium Cup Consumers. The rose was awarded with the top prize by professionals and scored a very good second place in the public vote. Much praised was its colour and its personality: Veronica's soft pink offers effortless chic in a top quality rose.
Shared success
"Dümmen Orange® and Jan Spek Rozen haven been working together successfully for some time now," says Wout Oor, sales manager Dümmen Orange in the Netherlands. "We represent each other's rose varieties for an all-round service towards our clients. We're very proud Veronica has done so well. It's a fantastic rose: great colour pink, no thorns, excellent vase life, truly an asset for the whole chain."
From Kenya with love
All roses were over the course of a week presented in Aalsmeer. The ROOOZ awards were presented at the Naivasha Horticultural Fair in Kenya, third largest exporter of cut flowers in the world. The country's flower power is attributed to its sunny climate, which enables high-quality blossoms to be grown year-round without the need for expensive-to-run greenhouses. Veronica® roses are year-round available through your usual supplier.
