HOBAHO by Dümmen Orange plants first bulbs in De Keukenhof

Hobaho by Dümmen Orange Directors Foeke Gardenier and Sam van Egmond planted the first bulbs of the new season in the Hobaho Garden at Keukenhof in Lisse (the Netherlands). Keukenhof is the international and independent showcase for the Dutch floricultural sector, with a special emphasis on flower bulbs.

Last year Keukenhof had to keep its doors closed for the second year in a row and visitors could not enjoy the beautifully landscaped gardens with the colourful flowers. The Hobaho management is looking forward to a blooming spring where visitors can enjoy the Keukenhof. Hobaho has had its own garden in Keukenhof for many years. “And this is something we cherish”, according to Foeke Gardenier and Sam van Egmond.

In the space of eight weeks Keukenhof shows what the Dutch floricultural sector has to offer. The park’s focus is on the 7 million spring-flowering bulbs, which allow the 100 participating companies to show their living catalog. 500 flower growers present an enormous variety of cut flowers and pot plants at the over 20 flower shows.
